Day 2 (still) and Arizona - Part 1

There is a lot of empty space in Arizona (and people driving camper vans). Apparently the Grand Canyon is somewhere beyond those mountains..... I'm not sure that the name really sells this place. I know there is a recession on, but surely there are better ways to get meat for the burgers.....

Just to reassure me that i was on route 66......

It was 90 degrees farenheit at Lake Havasu - 2 hours later I was driving towards snow (and there was still snow piled up at the roadside even though it was still 70 degrees.

I'm not sure all the cars round here could make it along route 66........
